Parkland’s youth are getting hurt on e-bikes, as dangerous and irresponsible riding in our City continues. In addition to that, the City of Parkland City Commission recently passed ordinance 2025-002, which prohibits riding e-bikes through park fields and crowds.
Effective immediately, Parkland BSO can issue citations to e-bike riders who fail to comply. Be aware that the City's park rangers will work with B.S.O.-Parkland District to keep our public spaces safe for everyone. It is imperative that you find out about your children's riding habits before the paramedics tell you.
Waste Management (WM) will roll out a new automated residential trash and recycling collection program in the City of Parkland this fall. While the collection method will be different, the services-and those who currently provide it-will not change. In early September, residents will receive 96-gallon trash carts, as part of Waste Management's new automated collection program. As a refresher course, remember to position your carts with the wheels facing your home. Additional information will be shared, as we near the launch date for this new trash collection program.
