The City of Parkland wanted to share some important information with our residents about the Loxahatchee Road improvements project.
As the construction date for Loxahatchee Road improvements approaches in the coming weeks, informing residents of how the construction will affect their day, 24-7, is one of the City’s top priorities. For some time, it was believed that Lox Road would not completely close during construction and that travelers would only experience short-term single-lane closures. The City has been informed, however, that the project cannot be completed without some full closures of Lox Road. According to the Florida Department of Transportation, (FDOT), full road closures will most likely take place in the first 18 months of the project and will be clearly marked to ensure ease of travel throughout the City of Parkland. While these will be minimized, there will be full closures of Lox Road. These will be necessary to ensure motorist safety.
